Total 15 PPSU personnel were deployed to build a park on west side of Cijantung Urban Village Office entryway, Pasar Rebo, Est Jakarta. Land with size about more than 200 square meters is turned into a beautiful park with various types of plants.

Now we can use the land for park and urban farming

Cijantung Urban Village Head, Haerudin stated, formerly the land only planted with papaya trees but it didn't grow and died. Thus PPSU personnel modified the land into park with various ornamental plants and vegetables, as well as providing selfie spot.

"Now we can use the land for park and urban farming. Because formerly, we tried to plant papaya but it didn't grow and many of them died. Thus we transform it into Taman Hatinya PKK," he explained, Wednesday (5/5).

According to him, PPSU personnel built the park with used materials, such as sand which is taken from river and soil from excavated land of housing project. While the plants were provided by East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency and City Park and Forestry Sub-agency.

This park is currently planted with aloe vera, timun suri, cabbage, water spinach, chili, sunflower, and ganyong.

"Its construction is not yet completed due to limited materials. The plants are still lacking and we need more of it. Our target is to complete this park construction in next week," he mentioned.
